Overall Opinion:

I’m pleasantly surprised with Premier Protein High Protein Shake and that’s why I gave it an above average rating of 3.5 out of 5 stars.

This little shake packs quite a punch.

The 11 fl oz shake contains a whopping 30 grams of protein!

The protein sources used provide fast and slow absorbing proteins to help with muscle recovery, muscle building, and overall satiety.

It has 24 vitamins and minerals and is a great source of calcium.

This shake can be used as a meal replacement or as a healthy snack.

It has 160 calories, 1 gram of sugar, 3 grams of fiber, and 5 grams of carbs.

I absolutely love the convenience of this shake and that’s a big reason why I like it more than your average protein shake.

Everything is done for you.

You don’t have to mess with blenders or shakers or messy powder flying everywhere or doing dishes (a definite plus in my book).

It doesn’t have to be refrigerated when you’re storing it but once you open it, it does need to be refrigerated.

Be sure to refrigerate or chill it before drinking, it tastes much better cold.

Then just shake, open, and drink!

The taste itself is a little unfortunate because it reminds me of a watered down SlimFast drink.

I have yet to find a premade shake that doesn’t taste like that, however.

It’s pretty pricey compared to other protein powders but you usually pay a premium for convenience.

Overall, I think it’s a great addition to your routine if you want some quick and easy protein or to help with weight loss and muscle building.

Detailed Opinion:

Ease of Use

Premier Protein High Protein Shake is incredibly easy to use.

The best part is that it’s already done for you!

The shakes are premade and individually packaged, so you just grab and go.

I’m a sucker for convenience, especially when it comes to protein powders.

Taste

I got Premier Protein High Protein Shake in Chocolate and I wasn’t too fond of the taste.

The best way I can describe it is like a watered down SlimFast shake.

It’s definitely not the greatest.

These shakes can be left out unopened but before drinking make sure it’s chilled because it helps with the taste.

Once it’s opened, it needs to be refrigerated.

I have yet to find a premade shake that doesn’t resemble some sort of unappealing SlimFast shake flavor.

Macro Analysis

For the macro analysis, each 11 fl oz shake contains 30 grams of protein, 3 grams of fat and 5 grams of carbs.

This protein amount is great for those wanting to build muscle.

The fat and carb content is also relatively low, which is a good thing if you want to tone up or lose weight.

The calorie content is about average, coming in at 160 calories per shake.

Keep in mind, this shake can be used as a meal replacement.

Ingredient Drilldown

Premier Protein High Protein Shake uses a blend of 3 different proteins.

These include milk protein concentrate, calcium caseinate, and whey protein concentrate.

I like that whey is used because your body can quickly and easily digest it.

Calcium caseinate is also beneficial because it’s slow digesting and contributes to the feeling of fullness.

This could help with weight loss.

It’s suggested to prevent catabolism, which is the breakdown of muscle proteins.

This is helpful for those wanting to tone up or build muscle.

The protein blend offers a good amino acid profile and includes all the essential amino acids.

Great additions to this shake are 24 vitamins and minerals.

The vitamin and mineral blend includes:  Vitamin A (25% Daily Value or DV), Calcium (50% DV), Vitamin D (25% DV), Vitamin K (25% DV), Riboflavin (25% DV), Vitamin B6 (25% DV), Vitamin B12 (25% DV), Pantothenic Acid (25% DV), Iodine (25% DV), Zinc (25% DV), Copper (25% DV), Chromium (25% DV), Vitamin C (25% DV), Iron (25% DV), Vitamin E (25% DV), Thiamin (25% DV), Niacin (25% DV), Folate (25% DV), Biotin (25% DV), Phosphorus (25% DV), Magnesium (25% DV), Selenium (25% DV), Manganese (25% DV), and Molybdenum (25% DV).

This shake is gluten free.

Side Effects

I didn’t notice any negative side effects when drinking this protein shake.

This is a plus!

It does contain milk, like many protein shakes on the market, so just be careful if you’re sensitive or allergic.

Best Uses

After drinking this protein shake for some time, we’d say it’s best used for those looking to tone up, lose weight, and/or build muscle.

It has 30 grams of protein per shake, which is a great amount to help build muscle and aid in recovery.

It also can be used as a meal replacement or as a snack, which makes it great for those wanting to lose weight.

Price/Value

For an 11 fl oz. shake, it costs $2.99.

It works out to 9.96 cents per gram of protein.

That’s definitely a little pricier than average, but you usually pay a premium for convenience and individually packaged products like this.

On their website, they do offer different bundles of 4, 12, and 24 packs.

You end up saving anywhere from $1 to $17.46 depending on which size pack you get.

I think it’s a good price for the value, especially since it’s already made and ready to go!

Guarantee

Premier Protein offers an awesome 100% satisfaction guarantee.

If you’re not completely satisfied with your purchase, for any reason, they will replace the item or give you a full refund.

I’m super happy to see a guarantee like this one.

Another bonus is that it doesn’t seem to have any time restraints on it.
