Overall Opinion:

The Quest Nutrition Protein Powder rating comes in at 4 out of 5 stars.

I’ve been a big fan of Quest Nutrition protein bars (I go through them like crazy), so I was pumped to try their protein powder.

And I wasn’t disappointed in the least!

I’m super happy with this protein powder.

It uses high quality proteins that are both fast and slow absorbing, so you get a steady rate of protein.

The macros are solid, it’s low carb (3g), and soy free.

It’s quick and easy to use and blends really well.

The taste is literally fantastic.  It’s one of my favorite tasting proteins.

It also bakes really well!

I’d drink a shake after working out and I’d experiment with banana protein pancakes in the morning and as a late night snack.

They suggest making banana bread, mini banana cream pie, banana colada shake, and banana parfait shooters.

I felt great supplementing with this protein powder.

It also has a satisfaction guarantee, so you can’t really go wrong.

Thumbs up for this protein powder!

Detailed Opinion:

Ease of Use

This protein powder is super easy to use.

Just use 8 ounces of cold water (or your choice of liquid) and mix it with 1 scoop of protein.

You can use a shaker cup or blender.  They suggest using a blender for the best texture.

But either way it mixes up great.

I made a fruit smoothie with it a number of times and it suggests adding more liquid if you add in fruit or other ingredients.

It also bakes really well, which not a lot of protein powders do!

Taste

I tried this protein powder out in the Banana Cream flavor.

It tastes absolutely delicious!

Quest nailed the flavor, it tastes just like a rich banana cream pie.

If you like bananas, you’ll love this shake.

Quest says it’s like “Cheat Day, Everyday” and I completely agree with that statement.

Macro Analysis

For the macros, it has 21 grams of protein, 0 grams of fat, and 3 grams of carbs in every 28g scoop (1 serving).

Each serving is only 100 calories.

I’m really impressed with these macros!

They’re great for sustained energy, weight loss, and building and repairing lean muscle.

Ingredient Drilldown

Quest Protein Powder uses a protein blend of 3 protein sources.

It has 50% Whey Protein Isolate, 40% Micellar Casein, and 10% Milk Protein Isolate.

I like this combination of proteins because it has both fast and slow acting proteins.

Whey protein isolate is very fast absorbing in the body whereas micellar casein is very slow absorbing.

This gives your body a longer and steadier rate of protein absorption.

It has an 84% Protein/Calorie Ratio (P/CAL).

Quest Nutrition believes that high quality protein powders should have a high protein-to-calories percentage.

This protein powder has a high % because that company doesn’t add unnecessary ingredients, fillers or junk to their formula.

To find the P/CAL of any protein powder, just multiply the protein grams by 4 and divide by the total number of calories.

So 21g protein x 4 = 84 then divide by 100 cals = 84%.

This protein powder also has 30% calcium, 20% phosphorus, and 6% magnesium for your daily values.

It’s soy free and gluten free.  I LOVE when protein powders are soy free because soy can potentially mess with your hormones and negatively impact muscle growth and weight loss.

It’s low carb (3g carbs) and low sugar (2g sugar).

Side Effects

I felt really good while supplementing with Quest Protein Powder.

I felt full but without being sluggish or bloated.

It does have milk-derived ingredients, so keep that in mind if you’re lactose intolerant.

Best Uses

After using and analyzing this protein powder, we think it’s best for building and repairing lean muscle, weight loss or weight maintenance.

This protein powder is pretty versatile for fitting your personal needs, whatever they may be.

The combination of fast and slow absorbing protein sources help with muscle recovery and aid in overall performance.

It’s a great choice if you’re on a low carb diet or trying to eat clean.

Price/Value

A 2 lb. container of Quest Nutrition costs $39.99 on QuestNutrition.com.

That works out to 5.95 cents per gram of protein.

The container also has 32 servings so you get a little over a month’s worth of protein.

I think it’s a great value for the price!

Guarantee

Quest Nutrition offers a great satisfaction guarantee!

If you aren’t satisfied with your purchase for any reason, contact the company at support@questnutrition.com for a hassle-free refund or replacement.

All you need to do is provide proof of purchase or advise when they can pick up the remaining product and they’ll ensure you’ll get your refund or replacement right away.

Seems pretty painless to me! 🙂
